The Dirty Reds have built up a name for themselves on London’ s live music scene for raucous, energetic live shows and their diverse mix of ‘jangly’ Indie and heavy Brit-Rock tunes. Having played many of London’s top venues, including The Islington O2 Academy and Brixton Jamm, they have recently recorded their debut album ‘Top Floor Madness’ ,the name an homage to the indie mecca The Venue in New Cross, South- East London on Copro Records / Casket Music. The heavily anticipated album is due to be released in October 2009 and features live favourites as well as never before heard new material. The Dirty Reds span various genres, they are not skinny-jean wearing indie kids but by the same token not leather-clad, tattoo covered rockers; There are three songwriters in the band, all with extremely different influences ranging from the 60’s Brit-Pop of The Beatles and The Who to American rock bands like Green Day and The Foo Fighters to contemporary Indie of Oasis, Kasabian and Razorlight, which all results in a massively diverse mix of rock n’ roll tunes. With such a diverse sound and dynamic stage presence The Dirty Reds are one of the hottest new bands in London, but don’t take our word for it, get yourself down to the next show and check them out!!!
